Вспоминаю их выступления. Олимпиады, чемпионаты мира, Европы. Любимцы публики. Сколько помню, всегда победители. Всегда лучшие, не дававшие не единого повода усомниться в их превосходстве.
Платов – длинноногий, ясноглазый, восхитительный. Мягкий внешне, но поражающий своей скрытой физической силой. Идеальный партнер, как все говорили про него.
Грищук – то бойкая, то нежная. Непредсказуемая, эмоциональная, спесивая. Звезда с постоянной претензией на победу. Тонконогая девчонка, отлитая из стали.

1998 год.

1. Which of all your programmes is your own favorite?
Pasha: Well, I canïŋ―t say that I have a real favorite. All our programmes have been very special at very special times. The Rockïŋ―n Roll in Lillehammer was something really new and the Arabian Dance in 1997 was very special as well. The Memorial in 1998 realized our biggest dream to win the second Olympic gold medal, so it was very special too.

2. What is the best performance you feel you have ever done?
Pasha: So this is the nearly the same answer than the one above. I have to add the Paso Doble in 1996 and the Tango in 1997, but I canïŋ―t comment on one being the best. Well, if I have to pick one it would be the Memorial in Nagano.

3. Will you stay in Marlboro or will you train elsewhere?
Pasha: No, Iïŋ―m moving to Los Angeles.

4. When are you going to start your movie career?
Pasha: First I have to take acting classes and improve my English language which I do right now. Every now and then I quit the COI and go to Hollywood to work on my movie career.

5. What is the true reason you left Natalia Linishuk?
Pasha: Well, in 1997 Evgeny and I had the feeling that Natalia couldnïŋ―t help us anymore. We had the impression that she wanted Anjelika Krylova and Oleg Ovsiannikov as her new number one couple. So we decided to go our own way without her, but we have to thank Natalia very much. She helped us a lot and she owes much of the credit we won after our separation from her.

6. How many hours did you train as an amateur and how much do you train now?
Pasha: As amateur we had about eight hours a day including ballett, gymnastics, fitness, choreography and workout on the ice. Now we do a bit less, but we still have to practice every day to stay in good condition and to improve our work.

7. Do you have friends among other ice dancers?
Pasha: Itïŋ―s very difficult to find friends among other competitors but I always try to be friendly to everyone.

8. What do you think about Bourne and Kraatz and their skating?
Pasha: Well, everybody does whatever he can to become number one. I respect all of the other skaters, of course I respect Shae-Lynn and Victor very much. They are very good competitors as are Anjelika and Oleg or Marina and Gwendal.

9. What do you think about the media campaign about Bourne and Kraatz in North America?
Pasha: Itïŋ―s normal, every country wants to help itïŋ―s own competitors. I can handle that.

10. Did you ever prepare for main competitions with psychological help?
Pasha: No, I always believed that God will help me. Just a few moments before the free dance in Nagano started I prayed: God, please help us out there. That gave me strength all the time.

11. Did you like Nagano and Japan?
Pasha: It was a very special trip as we won a very special medal there. We have an awful lot of fans in Japan and I love them and the country very, very much.

12. What is your favorite Japanese food?
Pasha: Of course - Sushi!

13. Do you have dance or ballett classes beside skating?
Pasha: Yes, of course, every figure skater has to do that.

14. How did you spend your teenage years?
Pasha: When I was a little girl I took some piano lessons, but I quit when I was seven because I always wanted to skate. I wanted to do everything on my own even when I was only five years old. I never wanted my mum to fix my skates, I did it for myself. I spent my teenage years on the ice, I never had time for social life like other kids of my age. But I wanted it and I loved it.

15. What do you consider the most important things in life?
Pasha: True and good and faithful friends. You donïŋ―t meet them very often in your life. Keep them if you meet them!! Also, one of the most important things of all is peace on earth.

16. When does your book come out?
Pasha: I work on the script, but I donïŋ―t know exactly when it will be out. I let you know as soon as I know.

17. Will Evgeny also write a biography?
Pasha: He has no plans so far.

18. Do you like to live in the USA and what do you like most?
Pasha: Yes, I like it very much. The things I like most in the US are shopping and the language.

19. Are you really going to marry this year?
Pasha: No, Iïŋ―m not going to marry in the near future.

20. How do you handle your notoriety?
Pasha: As I said before, the media have to go for their own countrymen. I can handle it although itïŋ―s quite unfair sometimes.

21. What are your interests beside skating?
Pasha: Itïŋ―s movies, fashion and animals.

22. Do you see a couple that could dominate ice dancing in the next years as you did in the past years?
Pasha: Yes, absolutely. Barbara Fusar-Poli and Maurizio Margaglio from Italy.

23. Did you ever think about coming back in 2002 and win your third Olympic Gold in Salt Lake City?
Pasha: Yes, maybe.

24. Is Evgeny your friend or is he just your skating partner?
Pasha: He is just my skating partner.

25. How often do you come back to Moscow to visit family or friends?
Pasha: My family lives in Germany and my closest friends live in Germany and the USA. When I was an eligible skater I didnïŋ―t have too much time to visit Germany. But since I turned professional Iïŋ―ll visit my family and my friends more often.

26. Do you have true friends whom you can lean on and who love you no matter if you win a gold medal or not?
Pasha: Yes, my mother.

27. Doesnïŋ―t a pretty woman like you miss a home and a family?
Pasha: Yes, of course. I miss a steady home and I miss my family, because I love them very very much.

28. Why donïŋ―t you build up your own show like Katarina Witt or Torvill and Dean?
Pasha: Iïŋ―m thinking about it right now, I would love to do that.

29. What do you consider more important, your movie career or your skating?
Pasha: I love skating and itïŋ―s very important for me. But I still need to develop myself by doing something else. I love to reinvent myself, so this idea of a movie career is very important for me. I just want to see if Iïŋ―m talented enough to build up a second career in my life and to see how far I can go.

30. Do you ignore the sometimes insulting stories about you in the media or do they hurt you?
Pasha: Of course I ignore that by not even reading it. I never listen to stories that are not true no matter if it concerns me or not. I think that these stories can only hurt the author who writes them.

31. Did you ever meet Madonna or did she ever watch you skating on her songs?
Pasha: I never met her. But itïŋ―s one of my dreams to meet her some day.

32. What is your favorite movie?
Pasha: Casino and Basic Instinct.

33. Which movies do you like better, the old ones or the new ones with all their special effects?
Pasha: I like the old movies very much, but I also like some of the new ones.

34. Do you like reading books?
Pasha: Yes, but I donïŋ―t have enough time to read all I want to read.

35. What is your favorite kind of music?
Pasha: Jazz!

36. Do you plan to become an ice dancing coach some day?
Pasha: Yes, I think so, but I donïŋ―t know when.

37. As your mum lives in Germany, do you plan to live in Germany some day?
Pasha: I think so, yes, I think I will move to Germany one day.

38. When are you going to skate in Germany or Europe again?
Pasha: I donïŋ―t know exactly yet, but I think during this coming fall.

Дария> , спасибо Вам, за эти годы,пожалуй, Оксана только книгу не написала(или я ошибаюсь?) и шоу своё не организовала, ну и с карьерой голливудской дивы не заладилось.Понравилось упоминание "Либертанго", "Мемориала" и "Арабских страстей" с пасодоблем в качестве "favourite programmes". И очень умилило,что к своим соперникам относилась по-дружески, особенно к КО.Просто образцово-показательное интервью как по бумажке читала.

Хорошее интервью, складное такое...Не знаю правда, насколько искреннее . И не скажешь, что эта спокойная и рассудительная девушка-Оксана образца 98 года.

Да, с этими планами как-то не вышло, ну и в третьей Олимпиаде не поучаствовала

Знаете,Paola , кто знает,быть может,и была бы в призах на следующих ОИ,но, думаю,что только с Платовым. Начинать с другим партнером подготовку к соревнованиям такого масштаба всё-таки довольно рискованно. Эх,поведи она себя по-другому в том 1998 г. , пара была бы сохранена. Я соглашусь с Татьяной, которая много об этом рассуждала,что именно из-за Оксаны пара прекратила выступления. И мне думается,что она жалела не раз о своём решении.

ППКС. Но что было, то было и исправить нельзя . А на счет 3-й Олимпиады, конечно, она пошутила. Даже, если бы они сохранили нормальные отношения в паре, думаю, они чисто физически не смогли бы выдержать еще один олимпийский цикл на таком же высочайшем уровне, как прежде.
